Company History
Viatech Industries, LLC is an electronic manufacturing
services (EMS) provider located in greater Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The
Company provides integrated product manufacturing solutions to Original
Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in the industrial, medical, aerospace,
test, instrumentation and telecommunications sectors.
Viatech Industries began as a cable and wire harness manufacturer (formerly
known as Complete Cable Company) that was founded in 1984. In October
of 1999 the Company acquired most of the assets of a circuit board assembly
plant in Sunrise, Florida and took on the Viatech Industries name. Viatech
merged the cable and wire harness assembly and circuit board assembly
operations to become a full-service CEM offering PCB assemblies, cable
and harnesses, sub assemblies and box builds.
Ending the year 1999 on a steady pace, Viatech laid the foundation for
the future by developing strong relationships with Motorola and other
key customers. News of Viatech Industries soon spread throughout South
Florida as customers and prospects alike discovered Viatech's manufacturing
capabilities and commitment to quality.
The Company grew rapidly during 2000, building solid relationships with
core customers such as GE Medical, Motorola, and Sensormatic. New customers
were giving Viatech Industries the opportunity to show what they could
do. Viatech performed well and sales rose sharply during the year. The
stage was now set for future growth and expansion.
In September of 2000, Viatech continued in the acquisition mode. The Company
acquired some of the assets of Delcor Industries, Inc., a cable and wire
harness manufacturer located in Hollywood, FL. Many of Delcor's customers,
and selected employees, joined Viatech during the fourth quarter of 2000.
The acquisition has added sales from such customers as Nextira (formerly
a division of defense contractor Racal), Coulter Corp, Siemens and BE
Aerospace.
The year 2001 brought much turmoil to South Florida manufacturers. Several
of Viatech's competitors closed. Viatech Industries not only weathered
the storm but also saw the opportunity to further expand its capabilities.
Viatech immediately began negotiations to purchase specific assets of
the Smtek/Century Boca Raton facility. These negotiations culminated in
the purchase of two new high-speed assembly lines, x-ray for BGA, and
test equipment, tripling the Viatech's plant capacity.
Although the last quarter of 2001 and most of 2002 was a very difficult
economic time for the USA, Viatech grew and prospered by increasing sales
and market share.
Today, Viatech is positioned as the premier CEM in the South Florida
region. Viatech continually looks for new ways to increase our value to
the customer through increased efficiencies and quality personnel.
